What is Strokes of Service?
Since the day we founded Buehner Brothers Painting, we have discussed how we could utilize the resources of the company to provide service to the community. The Strokes of Service program is designed to do just that. We find those in need, and we provide a small paint job for free. Our crew provides the labor and project coordination and Sherwin Williams provides the paint. The free paint projects we have completed so far have been incredible experiences for all involved.
Below are some of the charities we have painted for so far. They are the true heroes of our community and we are grateful for what they do.
Family Promise Salt Lake
Family Promise Salt Lake is an organization who provides aid across the Salt Lake county for families who are facing homelessness. Family Promise aims to minimize the challenges of families with children by working with faith communities to provide food, transitional housing, and long-term solutions.
For our Strokes of Service project, we wanted to provide families a bit of comfort during a transitional period of their lives. Our crew went and painted the main hallways and stairways in one of the housing buildings where many families were currently living.
Family Support Center
Family Support Center is an organization that offers a wide variety of services for families including 24/7 nursery care for children, family mentoring programs, housing for homeless families, family counseling, and more.
At Buehner Brothers, we know how rejuvenated a home feels when it is repainted from top to bottom. For our Strokes of Service project, our crew repainted an entire apartment before a family in-need moved in.

More About The Initiative
The Strokes of Service Initiative began in July 2017 and has helped us bring aid and joy to those in our community through painting. Our goal is to collaborate with others in order to take on bigger and more painting service projects in the future.
